Hello, I am Melissa. I am Autistic, queer, bi-sexual and non-binary, and I am hella proud of it. I am almost 63 years old now; I was 54 years old when I started this blog, and am still here to tell my story…..and I will tell my story till my dying breath.
It is a very bittersweet story, and yes, most of my story is very dark and depressing, because, well, my life has not been a happy and pleasant ride.
I don’t just write about my autism and autistic-related matters; I also write about politics and social justice, because it is all intersectional.
I am here to educate you about the ableism, gaslighting and abuse I have had to face my whole life as an Autistic person, and I am hoping to, in the telling of my story, to get the word out that we who are Autistic, have a voice, that we matter, and that we need to matter. Please listen to us!! See us. Hear us. And believe us!!
Edited to add: If you are going to come here to slam me, what I write, and what and who I am…you will be blocked. You have been warned.
Melissa, your blog is currently included on our Actually Autistic Blogs List (anautismobserver.wordpress.com). Please click on the “How do you want your blog listed?” link at the top of that site to personalize your blog’s description.
